MESHCORE

How it works
MeshCore typically uses **LoRa radios**. A small device sends a digital message, and other nodes can relay that message across the network.
For example:
**You → Node A → Node B → Node C → Friend**
- A basic MeshCore station consists of:
* **LoRa radio node** — the device that transmits and receives MeshCore signals.
* **915 MHz antenna** — for U.S. operation, use hardware appropriate for the 915 MHz band.
* **Battery or USB power** — depending on the radio.
* **Smartphone** — optional, for devices that connect through Bluetooth.
* **Additional nodes** — other MeshCore stations can relay messages and extend the network.

What makes MeshCore interesting
* **Long range** — LoRa can cover considerable distances with very little power.
* **Low power** — nodes can run for long periods on batteries.
* **Mesh networking** — messages can be passed from node to node.
* **Text messaging** — phones can often connect to a node via Bluetooth.
* **No Internet required** for the basic radio network.
* **Good for remote areas** where conventional communications aren’t available.
* **Useful for emergency/off-grid communications.**
