Duff Johnson Star of stage, screen, commercial and amateur radio, Duff Johnson your Tuesday 7AM Net control for the Digital Radio Enthusiasts Morning Net on D-Star REF 35C, brings his wide and colorful background in communications to DRE’s roster of talented and unique net hosts.
As a professional radio and television voice over artist, Duff’s ability to entertain and involve net participants makes for a lively, fast paced experience you won’t want to miss. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING happening and being said on the “net”. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW who will show up next to say hello!
Duff resides in Spokane, with wife Judy, Zoey the rescue mini-Dach and Piper Queen Elizabeth Warren Cordelia IV (Piper) our Golden Doodle.
A ham for 63 years, Duff enjoys all aspects of the hobby with CW and the digital modes his favs.
Duff teaches for the LICW Long Island CW Club’s intermediate course with a class Fridays at 12:00 Noon Eastern time. A great way to master the “original digital” Morse Code!
Other interests include aviation (commercial pilot) RC aircraft (gliders and thermal soaring) and computers with Linux and the quintessential Raspberry Pi and MMDVM at the forefront.
For the last few years…dabbling in 3D printing.. An amazing device creating and printing useful or useless items for ur pure enjoyment. 🙂 need a HT Stand, or Morserino case? did those too….
As of late “LoRa” and MeshCore a facinating mode of “Off Grid” communication. Fascinating for sure.
